I can honestly say I couldn't survive in your
weather. Here, I whine when it's below 60. It was 47
this morning when I went on my bike ride. I just checked
and it was 80 here but that was in the direct sunlight. I
just moved it to the shade and it dropped all the way to
75.6. I think I'm ready for another bike ride in the sun this
time. Del
Cool you have it all planned out. Could you take some
pictures to share with all of us. Whenever I think of
ice fishing I think about the movie "Grumpy old men". How
thick is the ice you'll be cutting the hole in?
Have fun Darrell, yeah right we all know you're going to
have lots of relaxing fun. Del
You know someone just made a comment to me that has been getting on
my nerves for awhile. Anti-war people are getting annonying. Yeah
peace is great and everything but is that being realistic or
idealistic. We've been warning Saddam for years now, we gotta back
up what we're saying with some action. Just be glad so many are
honorably going to fight for this country if they have to. If
Saddam himself could be picked off without having to go to war
great, cause we don't WANT to have to hurt the innocent in Iraq.
He's another Hitler in the makings people and his rein of power
needs to end. Just my two cents...comments are welcome
Don't worry Cindy. Harlan usually puts the last post that he is
replying to first...should've told you this sorry :O You're doin
dandy though ;)
Not a big deal at all... don't sweat the small stuff...
The thermos will be full of coffee.Taking beef jerky too.Going Sunday before
super bowl.
Del <poolpooper@...
With a
hut at least you can use a heater of some kind in it? I'd like
to try it and have a drop line with a six pack of
soda, but think being on ice I'd fall off wagon and
drink lots of hot coffee. Del
Oh It is really freaking freezing over here in NY. I go outside for a min and
my face feels like its getting chapped. Why cant spring come earlier?

Yes Harlan I don't know what happened but whatever it was, it was my
fault....Have you ever heard of someone taking the blame and
responsibility for something ESPECIALLY when they don't know how they
did it? Just after I posted that message last night I saw that screw
up and thought it was weird.....hey give me a break I'm new at
this....WHERE'S KRISTI? KRISTI HEEEELLLLLPPPPPPPP!!!!!!
This message appears to be Cindy's answer to my note, merged together
with my previous message, and attributed to me (Harlan). Perhaps the
editing went amiss? --Harlan
Harlan, Did you have to remind me? lol....and brrrrr I wouldn't want to be
there. I'm going to bed now, where it is warm under the blankets. We didn't
have a fire going tonight so my toes are a little frigid. HUGS Cindy
I think I was one of those people (with whom you conversed about NY)!
He's up on Deerfield Hill, in Barneveld, north of Utica. The hill is
about 500 to 800' higher than the Mohawk Valley, and gets some
ferocious cold winds.
PERCH! Yum, Where I'm from in Canada they fish for perch and then
fry them and it's one of the few fish I eat and it's very good too.

Where in upstate NY? I'm from just across the St. Lawrence and my Brother
went to school in upstate. (It seems I had this discussion with someone else

Well...it don't look like we're gonna be able to get a mortgage
right now so we found a rental for $650 yesterday! Much better than
the $1050 we've been paying for this shithole. This new house is
HUGE and I mean like 2500-3000sq ft huge. My brown furniture won't
match the wine colored carpet though. Gonna have to get black

Folks who don't keep a full journal, might want to keep at least a
journal of medications, especially if they are taking coumadin and
their INRs bounce around.
Coumadin (warfarin) mis-dosing is one of the big causes of accidental
death associated with MDs and hospitals:
http://www.msnbc.com/news/843120.asp
For people who have a steady INR, and good communications with their
doctors, coumadin dose probably isn't a problem.
My own experience is a little troublesome. My INR was steady for a
long time, but in the last few months it has dropped, probably as I
exercise more and become quite lean.
I trust my PCP, but I normally communicate to him through his nurse --
and she seems to ball up the warfarin dosing a lot. She calls me up
and tells me things like, "split one of your 5 mg pills and take an
extra half this evening." I haven't used 5 mg pills in 9 months.
When I tell her so, she shuffles through papers, till she finds my
current prescription, which involves a 2.5 mg pill and a 1 mg pill,
then offers her best guess as to which one might be split. That is
just one example; there have been about 5 others. When I tell her
the dates I was taking certain levels, and my concurrent INR, she
seems to be able to find the right papers and her train of thought.
When I talk directly to the doctor, he is very aware of my most
recent Rx, so there is something lost in the communication through
his nurse. I would guess that his instructions to her are not too
clear; but that is not the only problem, as I have heard him tell her
one dose, then she turns around and tells me another, 5 seconds later.
I must have been tired...I slept the clock around and didn't even hear Calvin go
to work...(I usually do) Of course I was up at 5:30 yesterday morning so last
night I barely made it through the news!
I used my floor steamer this morning and LOVE IT TO PIECES...it is great for us
who have allergies and sinus problems and going to get the Hot Shot. No more
chemicals for me!! I CAN BREATH now...both of us notice a difference since I got
this. It is so light weight too...I am all for easy! Have enough problems don't
we?? I just got the broom vac out (that is light weight) did the vacuuming and
then steamcleaned the floor. Great to have for the kittylitter area...KILLS
THOSE GERMS...she is such a messy eater too!
I have ham, greenbeans and potatoes in the crock pot...smells so good. I have
Calvin get the pot down so all I have to do is put the goodies in and turn it
on...
As far as make up...well I don't do alot...Can't see good without my glasses so
I get the lipstick, eyebrow pencil and a little shadow...oh and mascara...then
good for the occassion. I don't do make up hardly...only on special
occassions...I could look like a clown...hubby helps some...
Off to check goodies!!

Great Brian I'm glad it lifted your spirits up. That's my

Kristy, You mean you still wear it much? I quit wearing it for so
long....now I am spoiled. I even checked into permanent makeup, but then I
chickened out. I seldom allow time for it anymore.
I am getting better about it though. Sometimes, I would say "OK I'm
going to allow enough time for makeup today", I still would take
forever getting ready, I would run out of time. You know how we get
side tracked now? I go to another room and forget why I went in
there.....I think I've lost weight just by back tracking so much. lol

Oh my gosh! I've been married 22 years now and my husband has only
shaved his mustache off once. I was so glad when it grew back. He
looked SO different, I didn't like it! It was like he didn't have an
upper lip or something.....lol HUGS Cindy
I just got my hair cut today. I had them cut it short, #3 on top and
#2 on sides. I like it short, it's much easier. I only need 1
drop of shampoo and no brush or comb needed....LOL...I
did also shave my mustache off last week. I think I'll let
it grow back now. Yes I was trimming it and messed up,
so off it went. I shave it off about 1 or 2 times a
year. I think the longest I've gone without it is 1 month. It feels
weird shaving in the mustache area too. YUMMMMM I'm eating some of my
Moms good old homemade BANANA BREAD and it's so good.

Hey everyone....I just have to brag on myself for a minute. This
week, (the 22nd to be exact) I'm going to celebrate my 2 year
anniversary of quitting smoking. I love it! I never thought I would be
one of those reformed smokers either, but I have to say I am. I
quit in January and stroked in March. I think that's how I totally
quit, because I wasn't really over stopping until after being in the
hospital so long. My mother also thinks with the stroke came my
detest of smoking. I should be a non smoking advocate now. Anyway
just had to brag on myself for a minute since this was so hard for me

There is a lot of speculation at Elvis' caloric intake near the end
of his life; but 18,000 kcals/day seems like a good estimate. He
also liked deep-fried pickles, deep-fried bounty bars, you name it.

One of my favorite foods -- which made some people
hungry, and others nauseous -- is a peanut butter-and-
banana chimichanga. You put some peanut butter on
a big tortilla, near the middle, then crush up a banana
and mix it in with the PB. Then you fold the tortilla
up completely around its contents, and fry the
mess until it is crispy and lightly browned.
Mmmmmm. Unfortunately, the banana pushes up
blood glucose pretty rapidly.

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade,
but this sort of a hoax. The POs were indeed
once prohibited from displaying posters "In God We Trust"
produced by a private citizen, but that had nothing
to do with election laws. By now, "In God We Trust"
posters, printed by the US, should have been distributed
to all POs:
http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl-in-god-we-trust.htm
If you want to write "In God We Trust" on mail -- well,
it is a fine sentiment, and you should have a warm feeling
about it, regardless of the semi-hoax.

I simply love this idea! Let's do it! (A little late for our Christmas cards,

You may have heard in the news that a couple of Post Offices in Texas have
been forced to take down small posters that say "IN GOD WE TRUST". The law
they say is being violated is something silly about electioneering posters
(is God running for office?).
Anyway, I heard proposed on a radio station show, that we all write "IN GOD
WE TRUST" on the back of all our mail. After all, that is our national motto,
and it's on all the money we use to buy those stamps. I think it is a
wonderful idea.
We must take back our nation from all the people that think that anything
that offends them should be removed.
If you like this idea, please pass it on, and DO IT.
The idea of writing or stamping "IN GOD WE TRUST" on our envelopes sounds
good to me.

I didn't relize we are in a BANANA shortage.I saw a
guy at work take a banana and spread peanut butter on
it.I've tried that a few times tasted good.I'd do that
more but I never remember. I do like peanut butter on
a pancake with honey. Are you in a shortage of BANANAS

I simply love this idea! Let's do it! (A little late for our Christmas cards,
but....)
You may have heard in the news that a couple of Post Offices in Texas have
been forced to take down small posters that say "IN GOD WE TRUST". The law
they say is being violated is something silly about electioneering posters
(is God running for office?).

Kristi, There is such a contraption? I cannot imagine starting over with a
one-handed keyboard, though that's what my standard keyboard has
become.Makes me smile to think of the fits my old typing teacher would have,
seeing how my typing(near-perfect for 36 years) has deteriorated. Still, I'm
thankful I can type at all!

Del, I'd say you're doing pretty well if you've got the spirit to dye your

Donna you're not stupid, hell "normal" people do this all the time.
We are all humans and not one of us are perfect. Yes, certain
topics or discussions to me often have myself pondering that very
subject. Depending on whether it's good or bad I seem to relate to
it. I am also a mood sponge...always have been. I seem to adopt
the same mood of the person closest to me or a very popular group
decision. Quit beating yourself up...we all do dumb stuff at some
time or another.
Does anyone know where I can get a black left handed keyboard? I'm
getting a new system soon, so I'm looking for one.

ORIGINAL PHONE AND WON'T CHARGE US ANYTHING. I WAS HAPPY THAT I FINALLY
FOUND THE PHONE. I MUST OF PUT IT IN MY PURSE SOMETIME WHEN I WAS SHOPPING.
MY HUSBAND DIDN'T GET MAD OR SAY ANYTHING WHEN I SHOWED IT TO HIM. MY
HUSBAND USUALLY DOESN'T SAY MUCH WHEN HE GETS UPSET. AND, ALSO, I DO
REMEMBER BEING IN A REAL BAD MOOD THAT MORNING CAUSE I WAS READING THE POSTS
ABOUT SUZI AND WORRYING ABOUT MY OWN MARRIAGE.
DOES ANYONE EVER FEEL LIKE THIS? AND IF SO, WHAT DO YOU DO ABOUT IT?
THANKS,
DONNA D.
ANYWAY, I REALLY FELT STUPID. I KNOW THINGS LIKE THIS HAPPEN TO ALL KINDS OF
PEOPLE, BUT IT SEEMS LIKE I'LL BE DOING SO GOOD AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN I
HIT THE "BRAIN FART" DAYS AND IT PUTS ME IN A REAL BUMMER OF A MOOD.

Yes, it is licensed clinical social worker. In my
state (and most others), a social worker is an LMSW
once they graduate with their Master's Degree in SW.
Then, they must be under close supervision for two
years. After the supervision period, they take a test
and become licensed. Social workers often do work
closely with Psychiatrists, however, many LCSWs are in
private practice. LCSW are not doctors and cannot
prescribe medication. Have a great day! Cassie
